MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - It was a homecoming of sorts at Frazer Memorial United Methodist Church this morning.
Montgomery native Dr. Tim Thompson gave his first sermon. Following the service, church members welcomed him during a luncheon.
He came back to his hometown from First United Methodist in Opelika.
This isn't the first time he has worked at Frazer. Dr. Thompson started there as a youth minister 34 years ago under longtime Pastor John Ed Mathison.
Earlier this week, children from the church made Dr. Thompson 200 cards to welcome him to his new office and to their church.
