Moore gets AUM Army Athletic Achievement Award

MONTGOMERY—Cassie Moore of the Auburn University at Montgomery women's basketball team, is the latest AUM Student-Athlete to receive the AUM Army Athletic Achievement Award.

Moore has exemplified the AUM Student-Athlete experience by her performance in the classroom, on the court and in the community.

She was recently named All-Southern States Athletic Conference, and was the conference's Defensive Player of the Year.  She is also carrying a grade point average over 3.00 while majoring in pre-pharmacy.

In the community, Cassie has been a part of the Angels for the Elderly Program, she has read to the kids at the Milano Center on Martin Luther King Day and on Make A Difference Day, and she has been a part of the volunteers to work at the Children's Center and at the YMCA Basketball Camps.

"Cassie has had a positive impact on our basketball team both on and off the court," head coach Dan Davis said.  "Her willingness to work hard has definitely given the team a needed boost on the court and in the programs we do outside of basketball."
