AUBURN AL, (WSFA) - A Columbus, Georgia man got more than he bargained for when he met with a potential customer for his Craig's List advertisement.
According to the Lee County Sheriff's Office, Kevin Ratliff met Douglas Bledsoe at a Salem area gas station on February 13th. The meeting was in regards to some car rims seen on Craig List that Bledsoe claimed he was wanted to purchase.
Ratliff told authorities Bledsoe looked at the rims, and seemed interested in buying them. That's when Bledsoe asked the victim to drive back to his home to finalize the purchase.
Once the two arrived at the home, police say Bledsoe pulled out a gun on Ratliff, demanding his his money, rims, cell phone, and car stereo system.
Nearly two weeks later, investigators found Bledsoe at a motel in Auburn. He's charged with First Degree Robbery and is being held on a $100,000 bond.
