DOTHAN, AL (WSFA) – Alabama's unemployment is 11.1 percent the highest since the 1980's.
Jobs are being lost across all different sectors of the economy but Debbie Cain says don't let those numbers fool you.
"It's going to take time to recover but we are starting to see the signs that make us hopeful that things will be much better," says Cain.
Cain manages Dothan's Manpower branch, an employment company that surveys what industries will be hiring.
"We are looking at a five percent increase in quarter 2 of 2010, which is another sign that we are recovering," says Cain.
Manpower expects the Leisure and Hospitality industry to have a 17% percent increase in the number of people they hire in the second quarter.
