Ochoa and other top LPGA players headed to Mobile

MOBILE, AL (WSFA) - In two months, the top LPGA players in the world are coming to Mobile for the second Bell Micro LPGA Classic.

The May 10-16, 2010 event will be played on the renovated Crossings course at Magnolia Grove – part of the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail in Mobile, Alabama.

Leading the list of players is Lorena Ochoa of Mexico - top money earner in the LPGA last year, current leader in the Rolex ranking and a fan favorite internationally.

Angela Stanford, reigning champion from the Bell Micro LPGA Classic is currently 11th on the Rolex ranking.

Other fan favorites in the Bell Micro LPGA Classic field include: Juli Inkster, Morgan Pressel, Natalie Gulbis, Christina Kim, Brittany Lincicome, Brittany Lang, Stacy Lewis, Anna Rawson, Katherine Hull and Maria Hjorth.

"With this amazing field plus the newly renovated Crossings course and the beauty of Mobile in May, the Bell Micro LPGA Classic has all the elements to make for one week of great golf," said Jonathan Romeo, tournament director.
