Restraining order extended in Macon County

TUSKEGEE, Ala. (AP) - A judge has extended his order blocking any raid of the VictoryLand casino by the governor's task force on illegal gambling.

Circuit Judge Tom Young issued the new order Monday afternoon. He earlier had issued a temporary order barring a task force raid at the casino in Macon County. That allowed the state's largest casino to reopen.

He extended the order Monday after a hearing in which the task force commander contended he has authority to conduct raids in Macon County without the approval of the local prosecutor or sheriff.
