Another Max Capital City Classic and another Auburn win.  For the second straight year the Auburn baseball team beat Alabama at Riverwalk Stadium.   The downtown Montgomery ballpark was divided with orange and blue and crimson filling the stadium.

WSFA 12 Sports director Jeff Shearer threw out the first pitch.    We're saying it was a strike!

The Tigers struck first when Tony Caldwell launched a home run deep to left field to give the Tigers a 1-0 lead.   Alabama battled back to tie the game at 1-1.   But Auburn played long ball again with another home run, this time it was Casey McElroy with a three run homer.   Auburn used solid pitching to hold on, winning the game 8-6.  That's Auburn's 7th straight win.

Both Auburn and Alabama officials confirmed the teams have re-signed to play in the Capital City Classic for two more years. webcast the game live on Wednesday night and the entire game can be viewed as video on demand by clicking here.
