Car used in attempt to hit two police officers located

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - WSFA 12 News has learned that investigators have found the car of a man accused of trying to run over two MPD officers.

It incident occurred when officers spotted what they thought was a drug deal going on at the Vista Terrace apartment complex off Coliseum Boulevard.

The officers chased the suspect's car to a dead end, got out of their patrol car, and that's when they were nearly run over.

Police say a tip has led them to the suspect's vehicle, a silver Pontiac Grand Prix, which was parked behind an abandoned house in north Montgomery.

So far, the suspect is still on the run.
