Body of missing Ala. student found in lake

JASPER, Ala. (AP) - Authorities have recovered the body of a 21-year-old student at the University of Alabama at Huntsville who went missing after a canoe he was in capsized.

Authorities pulled the body of Michael Stutler from Smith Lake around 4:25 p.m. Monday. Divers had searched for Stutler's body since March 27, when a canoe he was in capsized. Authorities say the Madison County man was in a canoe with two other men on the Walker County side of Smith Lake when it was struck by a wind gust and overturned. Alabama Marine Police have said the other two men swam to a nearby boat dock. A press conference will be held at the lake Tuesday at 11 a.m.
