DOTHAN, AL (WSFA) – The city of Dothan is looking to expand its recycling program.
After a year and half of the iRecycle pilot program, Dothan City Commissioner Taylor Barbaree is hoping to speed up expansion of that program.
Barbaree will head a new committee working to implement recycling city wide.
"As a commission we need to have solution in front of us that will allow us to expand the recycling that we currently have," says Barbaree.
Barbaree also wants the committee to look into the city landfill.
"As a committee we can look and see what the existence of our city dump facility is and look at alternative solutions," added Barbaree.
The city also has an E-Recycle program where you can recycle old electronics for free.
