MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Throughout the centuries artists have built their masterpieces on every possible surface.

Michelangelo's art was on marble. Devinci's art was on canvas.

Montgomery sixth grader Megan Foshee's art is on Heinz ketchup packets; 20 million of them to be exact.

The Floyd Middle School Magnet student and 11 others around the nation beat out tens of thousands of participants in the 2010 Heinz Ketchup Creativity Contest for a prime location on your lunch plate!

Out of tens of thousands of entries, pop artist Burton Morris and a panel of judges narrowed the field to 36 finalists. America determined the winners in an online vote and from those 12 winners, a grand prize winner has been chosen.

Foshee will take home a $1,000 cash prize and $1,000 towards her school's art supplies budget. She'll also have no problem finding ketchup to dip her fries and tater tots in. She's also taking home $1,000 worth of Heinz ketchup!

While everyone else enjoys the mini-masterpiece squeezed onto a packet two inches long, Foshee will be able to enjoy a full size poster of her work when Heinz holds its special awards ceremony in the near future
