With only three days left until the Friday deadline, the Census bureau is urging everyone to get their forms filled out and mailed in.
Those who miss the deadline will receive a home visit from a census worker.
The face to face interviews will cost the government about $60 per household, much more than it costs to mail the forms.
This year's form is one of the shortest ever, with only ten questions.
"Getting counted in the census is important to get your fair share and your neighbor's fair share and your neighborhood's fair share of those four hundred billion dollars a year," said U.S. Census Bureau Director Robert Groves.
