MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Part of a south Montgomery County church went up in flames overnight.   Fire investigators are still on the scene and have brought dogs to the scene to help with the investigation. Authorities have not ruled out arson.

Around midnight, more than 50 volunteer firefighters rushed to Warrior Hill Baptist Church just off Highway 231 South in Pine Level to battle the blaze that destroyed much of the fellowship hall but left the main sanctuary intact and apparently undamaged.

No one was in the building at the time and no fire fighters were injured.

The pastor says church leaders will meet this morning to discuss what to do about services this Sunday.

Right now the State Fire Marshal's office is investigating the cause.

Anyone with information about the blaze is asked to call Alabama Arson Hotline at 1-800-654-0775.
