DOTHAN, AL (WSFA) – Road work is a common sight throughout much of Dothan this year.
With good weather gracing the wiregrass the last few weeks, road crews are picking up speed on numerous projects throughout the circle city.
Over five different projects are ongoing; it's a total investment of over $30 million of federal and state money.
"Some of its stimulus, some of its city, some of its ALDOT and it all is kind of coming together at the same time, the city has some resurfacing of carious streets around we're working on that as well," says Charles Metzger, traffic engineer for the city of Dothan.
The city is also beginning to start work on their resurfacing list. They expect to spend about $1.5 million on the work.
Officials hope most of the work is completed by the end of the year.
