Arson suspected arrested in Tallapoosa Co.

DADEVILLE, AL (WSFA) - The Alabama Forestry Commission has arrested a suspect after a recent string of wildland arsons. Richard Albright III, 29, of Dadeville faces numerous charges.

Albright was arrested following six fires that were set in the Paces Point Community of Tallapoosa County.

When authorities arrested him a search warrant allowed them to collect additional evidence in connection with the fires. Specifics on the evidence were not given.

Albright was placed in the Tallapoosa County jail and is awaiting bond to be set.

Wildland Arson is a Class C Felony which, if convicted, carries a penalty of imprisonment of 1-10 years and/or up to a $15,000 fine.
