MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - The Alabama New South Coalition has decided to endorse Ron Sparks for Governor in 2010.
The announcement came at the conclusion of the group's convention Saturday in Montgomery.
The endorsement comes after turmoil between Representative Artur Davis and members of the group, following Davis' 'no' vote on the recent healthcare legislation.
Davis was not in attendance. A spokesman for his campaign says the gubernatorial candidate was not seeking the coalition's vote.
