MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - The numbers are in and organizers are calling Wednesday's shredding event a success.

WSFA 12 News, AARP and the Montgomery Clean City Commission partnered to give Montgomerians a chance to destroy private documents during "Fight Fraud, Shred Instead".

Folks showed up in force.

A total of 650 cars stopped by Paterson Field and more than 25,000 pounds of paper went through the shredding machine.

Additional drives could be announced at some time in the future, so stay tuned!
