Tim James responds to campaign ad controversy

Republican gubernatorial candidate Tim James reacts after a group takes exception to one of his television ads that is also online.

James says the state driver's license exam should be given only in English and not in eleven other languages.  The GOP candidate tells viewers watching the commercial quote "in Alabama we speak English, if you want to live here, learn it."

"It got watched 50,000 times so evidently this hits a chord, it is good.  People need to wake up and become a part of the process and it is good for Alabama, it is good for the country," says James.

The Hispanic Interest Coalition of Alabama responded in a statement saying quote "Making the driver's license test available in English only is a bad move and inconsistent with the strong recruitment Alabama has done in the last 15 years to bring international business to our state."
