Auburn coaches recruit, visit Montgomery

AUBURN, Ala. (AP) - The Auburn Tigers are busying prowling through the state.

Auburn football assistants and new basketball coach Tony Barbee visited eight Mobile-area high schools on Monday. Stops in Montgomery and Birmingham were scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively.

The coaches traveled to Mobile in a black stretch SUV limousine.

Football assistants Curtis Luper, Trooper Taylor, Jay Boulware and Tracy Rocker made the trip.

Luper says the Top-5 national recruiting class demonstrates how effective the Tiger Prowl was when it started last year.
