Child killed by stray bullet in Selma shooting

SELMA, AL (WSFA) - Selma police are investigating the murder of a 3-year-old boy.

Investigators say around 9pm Tuesday someone called to report several males firing guns into a house in the 1400 block of Church Street.

Police say one of the stray bullets hit a 3-year-old boy, killing him.

While no specific information was released regarding the suspects, police say they've identified one suspect and they're actively looking for the person.

Police tell WSFA 12 News one suspect is in custody for questioning, but no arrests have been made.
