ASU Summer Basketball Camps announced

MONTGOMERY, AL – The sounds of whistles blowing, balls bouncing and sneakers squeaking will fill the air again this summer at ASU's Dunn-Oliver Acadome as head basketball coaches Lewis Jackson and Freda Freeman-Jackson announce the plans for their annual summer camps.

The Lewis Jackson Basketball Camp will be held June 7-10 while the Freda Freeman-Jackson Girls Basketball Camp is set for June 14-17. Camp brochures for both camps are available online at

Lewis Jackson, a two-time Southwest Athletic Conference Coach of the Year and former Alabama State and Wetumpka High School standout, offers a camp designed for children ages 8-18 with both day and overnight camper options available.

Jackson's talented camp staff works with players of various ages and skill levels to develop and improve their games during the summer camp session.

Women's head coach Freda Freeman-Jackson, the winningest women's basketball coach in ASU history and a former Lady Hornet standout, also offers a camp with both day and overnight camper options available.

Campers at the Girls Basketball Camp take part in daily individual and team instruction on fundamentals while also participating in exciting game-style opportunities.
