MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Evidence of excellence abounds in our region. 

Baptist Medical Center East was just recognized for being in the top 5% of the nearly 5,000 hospitals nationwide for excellence in patient safety. 

Tuskegee's President Benjamin Payton retires next month with a 28 year record of excellence, establishing facilities to study aerospace sciences, bioethics and other technical disciplines. 

Montgomery's Hyundai workers recently produced more vehicles than they have ever produced in a single month. 

The National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame honored seven members of this year's  Huntingdon College football team for excellence in scholastic achievement in a year they posted their best record of excellence on the football field. 

Creative and artistic excellence shines daily at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival.
