Gov. Riley in Gulf Shores Friday to promote Alabama's beaches

GULF SHORES, AL – Governor Bob Riley and Gulf Shores Mayor Robert Craft will hold a press conference on Friday at 9:30 a.m. to get the message out that Alabama's beaches are open, beautiful and ready for vacationers to enjoy. 

The press conference comes as a $1.5 million marketing campaign begins to assure visitors that Alabama's beaches are open.

It will take place on the Gulf Shores Public Beach, Boardwalk at the end of Highway 59 next to the Hangout Restaurant.
