2010 Jubilee CityFest KidsFest poster winner named

MONTGOMERY, AL – Jubilee CityFest announced its second annual KidsFest poster contest winner Friday morning. Students participated in the poster contest in conjunction with Booker T. Washington (BTW) Magnet High School in Montgomery. 

The winner of the 2010 Jubilee CityFest KidsFest poster contest is Suitjutapa Intachinda (Cristi). Miss Intachinda is an exchange student from Thailand. Her host mother is Glenda Neill Cowles.  Christy is actively involved in art. She won first place at the Flimp Festival and second place for her chalk drawing. She also enjoys dance and singing. 

"The goal of the KidsFest poster contest is to allow high school students to become more involved in arts," said Terra Jorgenson, Jubilee KidsFest Coordinator. "Through Publix's sponsorship of Art 101 the poster contest is the starting point children of all ages to become more active in the arts and Jubilee CityFest." 

Miss Intachinda will be awarded $250 from Publix for her winning poster design and the design will be featured on the Jubilee KidsFest t-shirts and posters. In addition, Publix will host a party for the BTW students on Friday, May 14th. The party will be to honor Miss Intachinda and all the other students that participated in the poster contest.  

The contest was held as part Jubilee's KidsFest and Publix's sponsorship of Publix Art 101. KidsFest will be held on May 29th from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. inside the Renaissance Montgomery Hotel & Spa at the Convention Center located at 201 Tallapoosa Street. 

KidsFest will have more than 100,000 sq/ft of Children's Activities featuring Flippenout Trampoline, Tone Tone the Clown, the Montgomery Motor-Speedway race cars, the Big Green Bus, The Weather Channel Weather Wall, inflatables, kid's karaoke with DJ at Large, and much more! 

CityFest takes place May 22ndand May 28th/29th for all of the Jubilee events.
