BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) - A federal judge for a second time has denied investment banker Bill Blount's request to delay his prison sentence for bribing former Birmingham Mayor Larry Langford.
U.S. District Judge Scott Coogler denied Blount's request. This is the second time Blount has asked Judge Coogler for a delay. Blount previously argued that he wanted to pay his full $1 million in restitution before reporting to prison. After Judge Coogler denied the motion, Blount filed another request under seal, or in secret.
