Power restored for 2,600 in Montgomery

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Alabama Power says it has restored power to 2,600 customers who lost service around the 1:00pm hour.

The outage occurred after a limb fell on a power line near Baptist East Hospital.

Alabama Power spokeswoman Jan Ellis says crews discovered the limb and removed it, but something else hampered efforts to restore power. Crews did line checks to find additional debris, which helped trip a breaker.

Power was restored at approximately 3:30pm.
