First on WSFA 12 News: Staycation 2010 Announced

Montgomery, Ala. (WSFA) -- In a story you saw Only on WSFA 12 News, the city of Montgomery announces plans for this year's Fourth of July Staycation.  It's a full weekend of fun.

Starting Friday, July 2nd, It's "Specials and Spirits."  There will be several deals on food, entertainment, and more at downtown Montgomery restaurants.

Then on Saturday, July 3rd, it's the Capital City Downtown Streetfest.  From 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM, you can check out street vendors and listen to live music.  There's also plenty of fun stuff for the kids including fan favorite "the Big Green Bus."  Admission is free.

Finally, on Sunday, July 4th, don't miss the Riverfront Celebration.  Gates open at 6:00 PM, and there's something for everyone to enjoy.  You can rent pontoon boats, check out live music, or cool off in the water slides.

Later that evening, after the Montgomery Biscuits game check out the Max Fireworks Spectacular to cap off a weekend full of FREE family fun.
