MONTGOMERY AL (WSFA) - Supporters of Alabama Senator Harri Anne Smith have been working hard over the last 3 weeks to gather enough signatures to qualify her as an independent in the November general election.
Last month Smith was removed from the Republican ballot. Since then Smith has been determined to keep her seat. So far, she has collected around 10,000 signatures.
Smith is sure that she has earned enough to make the ballot, but her camp will continue collecting signatures until the first of June.
