District Attorneys endorse Luther Strange

In the race for Attorney General, a number of District Attorneys from across the state endorsed republican Luther Strange.

In a news conference in Montgomery on Tuesday, District Attorneys including Elmore, Autuaga and Chilton County's D.A. Randall Houston called for new leadership in the Attorney General's office.

Strange says he's committed to a teamwork approach to law enforcement.

Troy King responded to the endorsements with this statement in part: "While a handful of District Attorneys may support my opponent, hundreds of crime victims and members of law enforcement will tell you they turn to the Attorney General's office when they can't get justice in their own towns.  While I do everything possible to maintain a good working relationship with local prosecutors, occasionally my office has had to step in to handle serious criminal cases."
