MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Four Montgomery Public School students were taken to area hospitals with minor injuries after a school bus accident Wednesday afternoon.

The bus, from Johnnie Carr Middle School, was traveling southbound from Troy Highway onto Taylor Road when a silver Toyota Corolla is believed to have run a red light and slammed into the bus.

Four students suffered minor injures. Two were transported to Baptist Hospital and two were taken to Jackson Hospital.

A substitute bus took the children who were not injured to their homes.
