Country Crossing postpones reopening

The developer of the Country Crossing electronic bingo development in Dothan says he won't reopen immediately.

"In light of Mr. Tyson's threatening remarks yesterday regarding his eminent raid on Country Crossing, the owners of the machines at our facility advised they will not give the critical support needed for the operation of the project. We understand the significant investment made by the machine manufacturers, and we are taking their suggestion to postpone reopening." says Ronnie Gilley.

Gilley tells WSFA 12 News he is committed to reopening Country Crossing and will continue to fight for jobs in Houston County.  He's asking all employees to report to work Thursday as scheduled.  He will be on site to address employees and media at 11:00 a.m.  WSFA 12 News will be there.

Country Crossing's casino, restaurants and inn have been closed since late January to prevent a raid by the task force.
