MEDICAL LAKE, Wash. (AP) — An argument over a tricycle in a garden patch outside a Medical Lake, Wash., apartment led to the pepper-spraying of a couple and their 3-year-old daughter.
KHQ-TV reports Spokane County sheriff's deputies arrested a 31-year-old man Thursday after an angry argument with his neighbors.
Deputies say Andrew Nelson Evans moved the trike from the spot where he wanted to garden. That led to a name-calling dispute with the neighbors.
Evans is accused of pulling out a can and spraying the faces of all three family members. He says it was self defense because he had been threatened with a baseball bat.
