PHIL CAMPBELL, Ala. (AP) — Voters in the Franklin County city of Phil Campbell voters have rejected a bid to legalize alcohol sales.

There were 344 votes cast in Tuesday's election, with 57 percent of those voting against the measure to allow alcohol sales. The town has about 1,000 residents.

Elsewhere in northwest Alabama, voters in Moulton and Town Creek approved alcohol sales.
