BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) — Jefferson County authorities say the fatal stabbing of a Center Point man apparently was accidental and no charges will be filed.
Jefferson County Chief Deputy Randy Christian said Tuesday that 21-year-old Leevon Turner died last month when he startled his sister while she was washing dishes. Christian says Turner's sister turned around quickly and a knife she was holding went into her brother's chest.
Officials say family members and neighbors who were interviewed told investigators there was no quarrel before the stabbing, and a videotaped re-enactment matched the physical evidence.
