Military investigates shooting at Ga. Army post

FOREST PARK, Ga. (AP) - The military is investigating a shooting at the U.S. Army Reserve Center located on Fort Gillem south of Atlanta.

Fort Gillem spokesman Peter Chadwick says a suspect is in custody. The fort's installation coordinator Andrew Hall did not know whether the suspect was in the military but said officials know there was at least one person injured in Thursday's shooting.

Chadwick said the shooting happened between 4:30 and 5 p.m. The center acts as a gathering ground for Atlanta-area Army reserve units. A firetruck and law enforcement vehicles were in front of the installation.

Chadwick could not say if anybody was inside the building when the shooting happened or whether any civilians were involved.
