Prattville National Guard unit returning

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - The Alabama Army National Guard's 217th Military Police Company will come home from Iraq Saturday.

The Pratville company has been gone for a year. The troops, now demobilizing in Fort Dix, N.J., should arrive at their Prattville armory at 508 U.S. Highway around 2:30 p.m. The 170-person unit gave military police support to coalition forces and conducted police transition team operations to train, mentor and coach Iraqi police during their time in Iraq.
