Baptist Health opens new health facility

MONTGOMERY, AL -  Baptist Medical Center South has opened Crossbridge Behavioral Health, a new psychiatric care facility. Crossbridge, located on 4385 Narrow Lane Road, replaces and expands the aging Meadhaven.

Baptist says the new 42-bed facility will help meet a critical need in the delivery of behavioral health services in central Alabama. A ribbon cutting and open house is scheduled for noon, Tuesday, June 22.

Crossbridge is being led by co-medical directors David Harwood, M.D., and William Freeman, M.D.; Celso Backes, director; and Lynne Parker, former Baptist South CEO, is now the CEO of Crossbridge.

Parker served Baptist South for 33 years and as CEO of Crossbridge she will oversee the operations and growth of the facility. Robin Barca, chief operating officer for Baptist Health has assumed the interim position of Baptist South CEO.
