MOBILE,, Ala. (AP) - Republican candidate for governor Robert Bentley has picked up an endorsement from Tim James' campaign chairman, former U.S. Rep. Sonny Callahan of Mobile.
Callahan said Wednesday that Bentley is the right choice for governor, particularly for job creation.
Callahan's endorsement means Bentley has picked up support from the campaign chairmen from the third and fourth-place finishers in the Republican primary. Roy Moore's chairman, Col. James Henderson, endorsed Bentley last week after the official returns showed Moore finishing fourth.
Bentley faces first-place finisher Bradley Byrne in the runoff election July 13.
