Millions of potentially deadly baby cribs recalled by 7 companies

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - More than two million cribs are being recalled from seven companies.

Officials with the Consumer Product Safety Commission say most of the cribs are drop-sides.

The concern is that babies can suffocate, become trapped or fall.  In fact, there are reports of at least 16 infants becoming trapped in the cribs.

Some of the companies involved include Evenflo, Delta Enterprise Corp., and Child Craft.

There was a recall on about 200,000 Simplicity and Graco cribs in April and another on the Dorel Asia brand in January.

More than 2 million Stork Craft cribs were recalled in late 2009.  The CPSC is looking at banning drop-side cribs all together later this year.
