MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Montgomery police say three people were shot at a barber shop on the East South Boulevard Thursday evening.
The shootings started around 8:40 p.m. at Platinum Cuts Barber Shop at 2828 East South Blvd.
The first victim, a 54-year-old man suffered a shot to the upper right thigh. He was treated and released a short time later.
The second victim was a 56-year-old man who was shot in the left arm. He also was treated and released.
The third victim was a 38-year-old man who took a bullet to the shoulder and a graze wound to the neck and ear. He's in stable, non-life threatening condition.
Police say the first victim was approached in the parking lot of the business by two unknown men who had handgun. The suspects attempted to rob the man. The man ran inside the business, where in the back of the business there was a "dice game" gambling operation ongoing.
The suspects began to shoot at victim #1 as he ran into the business, police said. Several of the subjects involved in the "dice game" began to fire shots back at the suspects. The second and third victims, who were inside the business, were shot.
Police are not sure if any of the suspects were struck by gunfire.
The owner of the business, Timothy Broaden, 42, was deemed uncooperative with detectives and was charged with Promoting Gambling and Obstructing Governmental Operations. Broaden was taken to the City Jail under $1,000 bond.
The suspects police are looking for are described as:
Suspect #1- Male, 19-20 years old, 5'10" tall, 140 pounds, wearing a black t-shirt, brown cargo pants and a red cap
Suspect #2- Male, 19-20 years old, 6'01" tall, 150-170 pounds, wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans, white cap, with dread locks.
