LANETT, AL (WTVM) –  A traffic accident in east Alabama claims the life of a Lanett man.

The Lanett Police Department tells News Leader 9 the two-vehicle accident occurred Saturday in the 800 block of N. 11th Avenue in Lanett, AL.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found the driver of the motorcycle, Terance Scott, unresponsive.

He was transported to Lanier Memorial Hospital in Valley, AL where he was pronounced dead.

Scott's body was transferred to the state medical examiner's office for an autopsy.

The accident remains under investigation by the Lanett Police Department, Chambers County Coroner's Office, Fifth Judicial Circuit District's Attorney's Office and the State Medical Examiner's Office.
