Greeneville City Council has busy agenda

The Greenville City Council's last meeting of June will be a busy one as the city prepares for a host of activities coming up in the month of July. The highlights of the month include several tournaments at the softball complex on Pineapple Highway.

The Alabama Softball Association State Fast-Pitch All Girls "B" Division tourney begins on June 9 and will include about 25 teams from around the state.

The Dixie Youth Traditional Majors State Baseball Tournament starts on July 23.

Both should bring hundreds of participants and spectators to the city.

Noteworthy: The city will observe Independence Day on Monday, July 5, so garbage pickup scheduled for Monday will be picked up on Tuesday.

·     The City of Greenville and its Parks and Recreation Department will proudly host several tournaments in June and July. All events will be held at the Softball Complex on Pineapple Highway.
