Two Dead, Two Injured In Greenville Fire

Investigators with the Alabama State Fire Marshals Office say a fire that claimed two young lives and injured two adults Monday morning started in a ceiling fan in the home's living room, and no smoke detectors were found inside.

Devencia Marshall, age 17, and Kenyardia Pettus, age 12, were killed in the fire. Their neighbor called the Fire Department when he heard Bobby Mack trying to call the kids out of the house.

Firefighters were able to pull their mother, Shirley Marshall, out of the house alive.  She is in critical condition Monday night at UAB Burn Center.  Bobby Mack is also there in fair condition.
