Eclectic will hold a salute to the military, music, air show

The city of Eclectic will hold a parade to salute veterans on Saturday, July 3 beginning at 10 a.m. It will be an "old-time, down-home salute to our armed forces and the folks back home who support them and miss them. Congressman Bobby Bright and state representative Barry Mask will be among the speakers.

After the parade, a musical tribute will take place at the Elmore County High School football stadium. That'll start about 11 a.m. and end about noon.

After that, Red Thunder, a team of vintage aircraft, will perform a demonstration flight. Units int he parade will include marching, motorized and military units that have a military, patriotic or civic theme.

Miss Indian Alabama and the Buffalo Soldiers 9th and 10th Cavalry Association will be in the parade.
