MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Authorities are identifying the man who was pinned under a fork lift in Montgomery County Friday morning.

The victim is being identified as Christopher Ray Blackwell, 28. Blackwell is in critical condition at this time.

The accident happened around 10am at a recycling center in the Sellers community of S. Montgomery County near Hwy. 331 and County Road 12.

Blackwell became trapped under the fork lift after the machine tipped over. A witness on the scene told WSFA 12 News the man's head was trapped under the roll bar that runs across the top of the piece of equipment.

Authorities on the scene said Blackwell was talking and conscious when he was pulled from under the machine. He was then transported to Baptist South Hospital.

Traffic along Hwy. 331 was brought to a halt for sometime while a Life Flight helicopter landed.
