(Tuscaloosa-AP) -- Alabama assistant football coaches Eric and Aaron Price, sons of fired head coach Mike Price, have been reassigned within the athletic department.

Athletic director Mal Moore announced the moves today on the athletic department's Web site. Alabama president Robert Witt fired Mike Price May Third after reports surfaced that the coach had gone to a topless bar in Pensacola, Florida, on April 16th, and that a woman billed about 1,000 dollars worth of room service to his hotel room the next morning.

Price has appealed the firing. Miami Dolphins assistant Mike Shula was hired as the Crimson Tide's new coach on May Eighth. Eric Price was Alabama's offensive coordinator and receivers coach. Aaron Price coached the quarterbacks, kickers and punters. Both have said they want to stay in Tuscaloosa despite their father's dismissal.

University spokeswoman Janet Griffith told The Tuscaloosa News that Mike Price's lawyer, Stephen Heninger of Birmingham, informed the school's legal office that his client was appealing his firing. Price had until Tuesday to appeal. Heninger and Griffith did not return calls Monday, and details of Price's appeal were not immediately known.

The university's procedures on resolution of staff disputes can include either mediation or a hearing panel if the initial appeal is rejected.
