New commander for Maxwell AFB

MAXWELL AIR FORCE BASE, AL. - The 42nd Air Base Wing change-of-command ceremony took place Monday morning with Colonel Brian M. Killough assuming command.

Killough takes over from Col. Kris D. Beasley, who has led the wing since August 2008. 

Colonel Killough is a master navigator with more than 2,800 flight hours in, among other aircraft, the F-15E Strike Eagle. He is coming to Maxwell from an assignment at the Pentagon.

The colonel's last time at Maxwell was as a student at Air War College in 2007. 

Colonel Beasley's next assignment is at the Pentagon.
