Mobile career center sent to help displaced Greenetrack workers

MONTGOMERY, AL – The Alabama Department of Industrial Relations and the Alabama Career Center System will deploy the state's mobile Career Center to Eutaw, Alabama to provide assistance to those who have lost their jobs due to the recent closure of Greenetrack.

Trained staff will be on hand to assist individuals in filing for unemployment compensation and other services that may be available to them, and to assist them in registering on Alabama's online jobs database,

"I'd like to encourage anyone who feels they may need assistance to come out and get some help," said Tom Surtees, Alabama Department of Industrial Relations Director. "We will have staff members and multiple portable computers to enable people to receive help in a timely manner."

Wednesday, July 14, 2010 from 12:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Thursday, July 15, 2010 from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Friday, July 16, 2010 from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
