WELLSVILLE, Kan. (AP) - Investigators are trying to figure out what caused a driver to lose control of a bus that was full of children.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says the accident occurred on Interstate 35 near Wellsville this. There were 29 people on the bus, including the driver and at least one other adult. The patrol said one child was airlifted out in critical condition.
A patrol dispatcher says the bus was returning to Missouri from a church camp in Kansas when it rolled off the highway. It was the only vehicle involved.
The injured were all taken to Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Mo.
