Selma police arrest three for marijuana possession

Selma police arrested three men for possession of marijuana on July 15, according to a press release from Sgt. Doug Stewart.

Demarrea Marquil Jones, 20, was arrested in the 200 block of Sheppard Ave. Officers took him into custody and charged him with unlawful possession of marijuana in the first degree when they located on his person"a green, leafy substance located in a clear bag, in individual packages usually seen when being sold," according to the release. He was taken to the county jail and held on $60,000 bond.

Quiatarious Hall, 18, was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana 2nd and able to bond out of the city jail with a $500.00 bond.

In the 2500 block of Brown Street, Ryan Murphy, 22, was arrested for unlawful possession in the first degree and taken to the county jail with a $50,000 bond, the release stated.
